Ultrasound Solutions is a division of TechnoResearch that provides non-contact ultrasonic air and liquid level measurement systems utilizing patented signal processing algorithms. These measurement systems offer unparallel precision and reliability for applications in the following industries: Automotive, Industrial, Aerospace, Biotech, Robotics, Pharmaceutical, and Others
The LevelMetrics™ and VolumeMetrics Series SystemsOur ultrasonic sensors operate on the principle that sound travels through a medium at a predictable rate. By precisely measuring the transit time of a pulse of sound transmitted towards a target and reflected back, we can determine the range to the target. UltraSound Solutions’ smart sensors offer significant technological advantages for product detection and measurement applications. The primary advantage stems from the fact that our systems implement proprietary digital signal processing techniques to discern valid echoes in a cluttered background. Signals are analyzed based on multiple parameters, including amplitude, frequency and pulse width. In addition, our software uses a digital feedback loop which allows it to automatically adjust the parameters of the outgoing pulse, as well as amplifier gain, to match the signal requirements of a specific application. Using this “self-tuning” technique enables our measurement and detection systems to operate reliably where proximity, optical, and conventional ultrasonic measurement systems fail. Continuous ultrasonic range finding that really works.™ Ultrasonics An ultrasonic transducer emits a burst of energy, which reflects off the target and back to the sensor. A microprocessor then measures the total transit time for the echo. Range to target is derived based on velocity of sound in a given medium. The instruments are non-contacting, and unaffected by changes in density, dielectric value and temperature. Your Needs Typical industrial environments present a variety of factors that can cause false or unstable readings in many systems currently on the market. These include electrical noise, vapor boundaries, turbulence and foam (in tank applications) , and momentary and fixed obstructions partially obscuring the target. UltraSound Solutions has developed a way to "see" past these; to function in the most harsh and unpredictable environments. Echo Imaging™ Dynamic gain control automatically adjusts to changing tank conditions. Multi-stage analog filtering enhances noise reduction. Digital signal mapping algorithms create and store a complete profile, or "map" of conditions between sensor and target. The map enables the system to distinguish valid signals from invalid ones on the basis of numerous signal parameters. Echo Imaging™ can even discern a valid echo when false signals are more prominent and more frequent; something that other systems, using lockout, threshold and "window" techniques cannot do.
