Ultrasonic Technology.  UltraSound Solutions takes signal tracking and ultrasonic measurement to the next level, offering the best precision and stability available on the market today.

Echo Imaging Technology™ provides dynamic gain control which automatically adjusts to changing tank conditions. Multi-stage analog filtering enhances noise reduction. Digital signal mapping algorithms create and store a complete profile, or "map" of conditions between sensor and target. The map enables the system to distinguish valid signals from invalid ones on the basis of numerous signal parameters.

Echo Imaging Technology™ can even discern a valid echo when false signals are more prominent and more frequent - something that other systems, using lockout, threshold, and "window" techniques cannot do.

UltraSound Solutions smart sensors offer significant technological advantages for detecting the presence or absence of objects and measurement applications.

The primary advantage stems from the fact that our systems implement proprietary digital signal processing techniques to discern valid echoes in a cluttered background. Signals are analyzed based on multiple parameters, including amplitude, frequency and pulse width.

In addition, our software uses a digital feedback loop which allows it to automatically adjust the parameters of the outgoing pulse, as well as amplifier gain, to match the signal requirements of a specific application. This self-tuning technique enables our measurement and detection systems to operate reliably where proximity, optical, and conventional ultrasonic measurement systems fail.

Typical Applications

  • Verify position or presence of any type of container (glass & plastic included).

  • Monitor and automatically refill glue reservoirs on single and double side roll-coating machines.

  • Belt or web tension monitoring.

  • Belt or web break detection.

  • Robotic arm positioning.

  • Ink level in rotary printers.

  • Product or raw material stacking height.

  • Product dimensioning.

  • Measuring the height of a person.

  • Monitoring the level of product in filling/draining operations.

  • Measure reagent volumes during mixing operations.

  • Guide and position vehicles.
